Chatting with fellow education technologists at a conference is one of the best parts of my job. The conversations are always enlightening, inspiring, and motivating. Our profession is still learning together—and there's nothing like coming together with other technologists who are interested in pushing the boundaries of where education technology can take us. The BrainStorm Conference in Sandusky, Ohio is no exception: it is an opportunity to connect with others from around the world who share my passions for technology and education.
What is BrainStorm?
For the past 20+ years, BrainStorm has been an educational technology conference like no other! Held in Sandusky, Ohio, it brings together K20 techs to network and connect with technology vendors. With a focus on the "tech" side of education technology, attendees and speakers include IT directors, technology coordinators, hardware technicians, and more.

The Day's Events
The event kicks off with Tom Woods, a certified deployment specialist and administrator at AmplifiedIT, a CDW company. He is a Google Cloud-certified administrator with over 26 years in IT and 20 years in K-12 ed tech.
His interactive workshop will cover multiple aspects of Google Workspace security and explore best practices, real world use cases and studies.
Following his workshop, attendees have the opportunity to attend sessions led by industry experts and innovators from around the world who will share their insights on topics such as educational cybersecurity, data privacy, emergency communications, empowering educators, and sustaining technology resources - just to name a few!
BrainStorm Vendor Fair
The BrainStorm Vendor Fair is a great place to learn about the newest and most innovative products, services and solutions in the education technology industry. The 4-hour block gives attendees ample time to visit the various vendor exhibits and participate without missing any sessions.
Edtech is continuing to change the way students learn, and it's positively changing the way teachers teach. The future of edtech is bright, but we need to take action now if we want to be prepared for what lies ahead.
